Entrevista a la Prof. Reiko Kuroda en la UNSAM

El jueves 21 de noviembre la Profesora Reiko Kuroda del Institute of Science and Technology Research de la Universidad de Chubu, brindó una clase especial en el aula 608 de la Universidad Nacional San Martín.

En una alocución traducida por Verónica Penelas, la Dra. Kuroda se explayó sobre cuatro ejes:

Las consecuencias del rápido desarrollo en ciencia y tecnología; los urgentes problemas ambientales que enfrenta el planeta; ciencia y legislación; y capacitación de recursos humanos en ciencia y tecnología.

Para la Doctora el desarrollo tán rápido de la ciencia y la tecnología en estas últimas décadas crea «Luces y sombras» en el tejido de la sociedad que merecen nuestra atención y trabajo.

No sólo hablando de la ciencia dura, la que se estudia en laboratorios, sino también aquella que afecta directa y cotidianamente a las personas. Hace menos de 10 años el uso del GPS no estaba tan difundido y arraigado, por ejemplo.

Con críticas, luces, sombras, sospechas y reticencias la ciencia y la tecnología son la herramienta clave que tiene el Ser Humano para resolverlo todo.

Es por eso que la colaboración de la Comunidad Internacional es urgente para actuar de forma conjunta; entre ciencia, tecnología, sociedad y política, justamente, para resolver ciertas cuestiones como la desigualdad, hambre, enfermedades, pobreza, cualquier problema que necesite resolver el Ser Humano.

La Doctora Reiko Kuroda propone entonces, crear un standar científico entre Funcionarios políticos (Decition makers) y la ciudadanía. Para que ambos sepan y entiendan cúales son los límites de la ciencia y la tecnología que los afecta día a día, o que pueda afectarlos en un futuro.

Para eso, ella propone su programa de Entrenamiento de Intérpretes de Ciencia, que resume en la entrevista exclusiva que le hizo Alternativa Nikkei en este VIDEO.
